Shining A Light On OT Services

The Rainbow Clinic’s dedication to improving the daily lives of the families we assist was once again recognised in the lead up to the 2019 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards.

I was thrilled to be named a finalist in the category of Outstanding Business Leader. While I did not take home the award, this acknowledgement is a mark of success, and it would not have been possible without my amazing team.

The OT services and successful outcomes we deliver for our families are only possible when we work together, share our knowledge and experience, and support each other in our professional endeavours.

For those of you who don’t know, in just five short years, the business has grown from one employee operating out of a small practice (me), to a large facility in Charlestown that features several therapy rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and of course, a dedicated team of professionals.

Through a ‘rainbow of services’, the clinic helps children aged 0 – 18 years with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives. These children may have a specific diagnosis i.e. Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay, or may not yet be diagnosed or have a specific disability.

By providing a comprehensive initial assessment that focuses on your child’s fine and gross motor (movement) skills, sensory processing abilities, handwriting, daily living skills, visual perception and visual motor integration skills; we can embark on a well-informed journey of improvement, growth and success.

While the Lake Macquarie Business Awards journey was rewarding, seeing a child who is more confident in their skin and confident in their abilities, thanks to our services, is a win we experience every day. And we thank all our families for believing in us, and giving us this awesome opportunity.
